Croutons, cranberries, crispy onions, glazed walnuts, tortilla strips, all sound like a party on a salad to me. Well, I don’t know about all of my readers out there, but I like a little crunch, flavor, and kick to my salads and Fresh Gourmet makes it happen. I can choose from ranch, butter & garlic, Caesar, or just go with the good old fashioned seasoned croutons. My favorite is the old fashioned seasoned with enough seasoning to give every bite of my salad a little kick. If you want some sweetness to your salad try adding the unbelievable rich tasting glazed walnut, or throw on a few cranberries, or dump a hand full of golden raisins. It’s your choice with Fresh Gourmet they thought of it all!!!!

The King of Salads
Okay, so with all these great sauces and toppings I am becoming a salad connoisseur. I used to think that I did not like them but they are really growing on me. I am not to the point where they can be considered a meal but surely a side dish. Here is a great salad concoction I had the other night. Italian lettuce blend, Jarlsberg Lite Swiss cut into chunks, Saucy Mama’s giant olives and to top it off—Sturkey’s Gourmet Ranch dressing. For the main course—A Five Star Foodies Artichoke burger with some melty cheese and a whole wheat bun.

Salad and Snacks
This weekend I had a side salad with my dinner. Normally, I am not too excited about a salad but I had a new salad topping MIX! Its by Aurora.
They feature grab and go snacks including nuts and dried fruits as well as this awesome salad topping mix with cranberries, nuts, seeds and sesame sticks. Mmmmm! Changed a dull salad to a yummy side dish. I also had their raw almonds and raw pecans.
They were both such quality nuts-- big and fresh. They have tons of products including: Raw Nuts, Roasted Salted Nuts, Roasted Unsalted Nuts, Dried Fruits, Trail Mixes, Granola and Candy (yes candy!) with a healthy flair. Check it out!

Salad with Kaia Seeds
Kaia sunflower seeds sprouted with garlic and sea salt gave my salad just the kick it needed. I topped it with a scoop of cottage cheese and voila I had quite the tasty salad.
