Newman's Own Organics Review & GIVEAWAY

I think it is safe to say that a lot of us are more concerned with the ingredients in our foods and how they are grown and processed prior to arriving at our local grocery. We want to make sure we're putting the safest  and best tasting products on our dinner tables for our family. With Newman's Own Organics, you can do just that; they take the guess work out of determining if what you're eating is safe!

It's easy to get Newman's Own (yes, the salad dressing company) and Newman's Own Organics confused. Newman's Own Organics started as a division of Newman's Own in the early nineties. Nell Newman (Pauls' daughter), along with her business partner, Peter Meehan, managed to build their brand and NOO became an independent company in 2001. With the slogan "Great tasting products that happen to be organic", they created products based on what they liked; their pretzels stemmed from "Pa" Newman's love of pretzels and Nell's love of chocolate was a deciding factor in choosing organic chocolate bars. Side note: the company was a pioneer in the food industry when it offered it's first line of organic chocolate bars in the mid nineties!!

So we know it's organic....but is it GOOD?!? Holy smokes, it's all delicious! Pretzels, licorice, cookies, dried fruit, chocolate...oh my! I have a few favorites that I'd like to tell you about.

First, the Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups. If you are a Reese's fan, put them down and go get some of these NOO cups. These were so creamy and smooth, and melt in your mouth! Each 1.2 oz package contains three cups, all with ingredients you can pronounce!! Splurge without feeling you went off the deep end with these Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups. You can also get them in Milk Chocolate Peanut Butter, Dark Chocolate Peppermint, and Milk or Dark Chocolate Caramel.

Second, the Licorice. Not only do you get an organic stick of licorice (who knew this even existed until now?), but they've topped themselves with the addition of Sour Flavors -- Sour Strawberry, Sour Apple, Sour Cherry, and Sour Mango. The bag of Sour Strawberry only lasted a few days in my house!! Great taste, and they don't leave behind that "fake" flavor in your mouth that a lot of licorice does. Each five ounce package would be great to keep in your drawer at work to snack on throughout the week...or day!

Third, the Chocolate Newman-O's! Think Oreo with a chocolate cream center! Also available in  Original, Wheat Free Dairy Free, Peanut Butter, Ginger 'n' Cream, and Hint O' Mint. Be careful though, these things are dangerous!

And finally, the High Protien Pretzels. What an amazing snack!! Not only are they packed with protein, but they have a higher fiber content than most pretzels I've seen. Nice and crunchy and not too salty -- this pretzel has it all!! Baby its cold outside!

The air is getting mighty chilly here in Wisconsin! We have been hauling out the heavy coats, scarves, gloves and even our boots. Our house is very small or should I say cozy? Every little noise is heard in all rooms which means when Max is nappy we either don't move or tiptoe around the house. I was hacked!

Just last month my email account that I use for personal emails was hacked-- how did I find out? My brother called me wanting to know why I would be sending him illegal prescription drug links at work! I could not believe my ears so I went into my sent folder and not only had my brother been getting these emails but my whole address book, I guess no one else wanted to say anything to me. So I sent out an apology and quickly changed my password that consisted of 4 letters and 1 number-- not very tricky, I know. Umbrellas, gloves, slippers-- oh my!

I am a long time fan of the Totes-Isotoner brand, in fact I am wearing Isotoner balerina slippers as I type this. When I was browsing around their website I could not believe all the items they actually have that you don't see in store. Extended sizes, every fabric imaginable, even wedding slippers! Not to mention shoes, hats, scarves, rainwear and more! I was really into their umbrellas-- they have super cool ones that you can find to fit just about any personality. Fake Bake Giveaway 2 Winners!

It is the Long Sleeve V-Neck with Flower Print in digitalis color-- its a dark lavender type shade. All of their tops are made with the postpartum shape in mind so they are generous with the fabric on this top and its a bit longer than most tops you will find and the sleeves were actually long enough for me. I am loving doing this review and giveaway! Right now we are furiously working on renovating our basement just in time for Max's birthday party so there is a little wiggle room for all of our guests. Rain or Shine Kids Woobee Plush Review & Giveaway!

You can't be too young OR too old for BLOCKS!

My son was lucky enough to get a 160 piece Fun With Friends set from Back to Blocks.

When I say my son, I should say my whole family. The bucket arrived and let me say first off I was so impressed at them being in such a nice container. I heart Tommee Tippee Review and Giveaway!

I reached out to my mommy readers when I was pregnant looking for suggestions on must have items and one brand that came up a lot was Tommee Tippee. At that time they did not have the breast pumps out but I did stock up on their bottles and am now using their sippee cups too. I was given the chance to review the Tommee Tippee single electric breast pump and could not wait to try it out. I am still nursing but Max does not wake up as often as he used to for feedings so I still pump once to avoid waking up totally engorged. I was so excited to get my Striiv after reading all about it on their website that I tore right into the box and started "playing" right away! I have to say I love the Mangroomer product line. It is very unique-- first of all, there are tons of nose/ear hair trimmers on the market but this one kicks a$$! Working out at home with Harbinger!

I have found that I actually LOVE working out at home for many reasons-- I can do it whenever it works for me and my son, I don't have to worry about what I wear and I don't waste any time driving, checking in, talking etc... Its really great! One thing I do miss though is the lack of variety in my workouts. Jump ropes are always great cardio and this great 9 foot rope is perfect for my cardio routine indoors or outdoors. Push up bars help you evenly distribute your weight during training as well as keep you with traction during push ups, I have also found they make the pressure on my wrists much less which helps me to do just a few more.
