Peek at my new bag getting all ready for work. It is so cute and flashy but best of all Basura Bags are made in the Philippines by a women’s coop re-using juice containers. Since these containers generally take up tons of space in landfills, clutter the streets and are not bio-degradable there is finally a use for them! These women perfected the art of making bags and impressively from materials that they are recycling. Trust me, it has been a conversation piece! Where did you get the bag? How is it made? Are those real juice boxes?! I just direct them to the Basura website and let them know they will have a cool bag AND be doing their part to clean up the environment.
